At the beginning of each session, use this exercise to check in with yourself.

When asked how we feel, we are sometimes lost for words.

At any given moment, our emotions are likely to be mixed and ambiguous.

A photo could give voice to our deepest thoughts and unconscious messages. It bridges our intellectual mind with our emotional landscape. It surfaces information we have buried, hidden, or defended against.

By tapping into the realm of metaphorical language, images have the power to communicate far beyond any words.
